Abstract
The view that barbital is excreted only as unchanged drug was confirmed by the use of barbital labeled with N15. The concentration of the isotopic barbital was determined in various parts of the brain of four dogs after doses ranging from 25 to 250 mgm. per kgm. No localization in a particular division of the central nervous system such as the diencephalon was present.
