Abstract
The pyretogenic response to LSD was prevented by 60-minute pretreatment with PBA. Reserpine given 24 hours before LSD and guanethidine 18.5 hours prior to LSD produced the most effective attenuation of the response. Reserpine given immediately before LSD caused an increased response to LSD, probably by increasing the metabolic rate. Hexamethonium had no effect upon the LSD response.
