Abstract

1. Hydrocyanic acid gas is absorbed by the skin of dogs and guinea pigs. Whether or not the outcome is fatal depends upon the concentration of the gas.

2. Hydrogen sulphide gas is absorbed by the skin of guinea pigs but it is only lethal when large areas of the skin are exposed to the pure gas.

3. Carbon monoxide does not appear to be absorbed by the skin. Further experiments upon this subject are in progress.
