MT2 cells were infected with HIV-1(IIIb) and treated with various concentrations of adefovir in the absence or presence of 100 μM NSAIDs. After 5 days, an 2,3-bis(2-methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide assay was performed, and adefovir IC50 values were determined. The data represent mean ± S.D. from two independent experiments.

  • 3-a  Adefovir was tested in the presence of 30 μM diflunisal due to the cytotoxicity of diflunisal at 100 μM.
