Mitochondrial uptake of tamoxifen
Mouse liver mitochondria (2 mg proteins/ml) were incubated at 30°C for 1 min with succinate (10 mM) and [3H]tamoxifen (25 μM; 8.5 μCi/ml), with or without valinomycin (70 nM). Mitochondria were centrifuged for 2 min, and the concentrations of tamoxifen in the mitochondrial pellet and the supernatant (medium) were determined. Results are means ± S.E.M. for five to eight determinations.
