AB  - A method for the quantitative determination of chloral hydrate, chloroform and related R-C-X3 compounds in blood is described. The technic, based on the Fugiwara color reaction, avoids the simultaneous preparation of standard solutions by use of the photoelectric colorimeter and calibration curves. The introduction of alcohol to retard color fading makes the method rapid and accurate.
