YR 1941 UL http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/72/3/291.abstract AB The therapeutic activity of neoprontosil has been compared to that of sulfanilamide in a streptococcus infection in mice. Essentially the same blood concentration-time curve of sulfanilamide was obtained from both drugs by use of the drug-diet method of therapy. The results show that the entire therapeutic activity of neoprontosil depends on the sulfanilamide formed from it.
