KOZELKA YR 1941 UL http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/72/3/280.abstract AB Data on the relative distribution of diphenylhydantoin in rabbit tissue and the rate of its disappearance from the body are presented. The relative concentrations in the various tissues decrease in the order listed, viz., liver, brain, kidney, blood and muscle. Approximately sixteen hours are required for the drug to disappear from the body when administered intravenously in a dose of 50 mgm. per kilogram of body weight. After the repeated oral administration of relatively large daily doses, there is evidence that the drug accumulates in the tissues, particularly in the brain.
