AB  - 1. Salicylate of sodium has a stimulating action in the uterus, but usually only in concentrations higher than those found in the blood during the treatment of rheumatic fever. 2. From a consideration of the experiments it is suggested that abortion occurring in rheumatic fever is the result of the fever, and that salicylates have probably little effect unless the uterus is specially sensitive.
