ELLIOTT Y1 - 1970/05/01 UR - http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/173/1/85.abstract N2 - Both melengestrol acetate (MGA)1 and hydrocortisone acetate under our experimental conditions not only prevented the development of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis but also reversed the established disease. MGA was in general superior to hydrocortisone acetate in both prophylactic and therapeutic treatment and showed fewer side effects associated with glucocorticord activity. These observations were demonstrated both clinically and histologically. © 1970, by The Williams & Wilkins Company ER -
