PHEAR Y1 - 1970/11/01 UR - http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/175/2/388.abstract N2 - In isolated rat left ventricular trabeculae carneae muscle preparations, ketamine doses greater than 2.5 x 10-4 M depressed Vmax and PO of the force velocity relation as well as isometric developed tension, the rate of tension development and other indices of contractile performance. Although no changes in resting compliance were observed, the highest ketamine doses increased series elastic extension, chronaxie, rheobase and the refractory and latent periods. An antiarrhythmic effect of ketamine was observed. © 1970 by The Williams & Wilkins Co. ER -
