FRAZIER YR 1969 UL http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/169/2/224.abstract AB The effectiveness of tetrodotoxin in blocking the peak transient sodium conductance of squid giant axons has been compared at pH 7 and pH 9 under voltage clamp conditions. Tetrodotoxin was much more potent at pH 7 than at pH 9, and the result is compatible with the concept that the cation forms of tetrodotoxin are mainly responsible for the blocking action. © 1969, by The Williams & Wilkins Co.
