Pilocarpine also did so but produced salivation at about the same doses that prevented phenylquinone-induced reactions. d-Pentazocine, chlorpromazine and d-amphetamine did not prevent phenylquinone-induced reactions at doses lower than those that affected rotarod performance. Although the narcotic antagonists reached their peak activity in preventing phenylquinone-induced reactions within 15 min after injecton, the other drugs did not do so. © 1969, by The Williams & Wilkins Company
