Hydroxymeprobamate and small quantities of meprobamate also occur in the urine. Carisoprodol itself is excreted unchanged in trace amounts. After intravenous administration of carisoprodol to dogs, the major circulating carbamate is the unchanged drug. Hydroxycarisoprodol, hydroxymeprobamate and meprobamate are also present in the blood.
