This effect is observed with fresh, but not with aged, homogenates and appears to be related to a suppression of oxaloacetate accumulation, possibly through inhibition of malic dehydrogenase. The results bear considerable similarity to those obtained by other investigators who studied the effect of thyroxine on succinate oxidation.}, issn = {0022-3565}, URL = {https://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/137/1/107}, eprint = {https://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/137/1/107.full.pdf}, journal = {Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics} }
