FD\&C Green No. 2 was not recovered in the same quantitative yields obtained with the others, probably because of its instability in the body. None of the colors was found in the urine. The loss of the administered color was reduced when the dose was changed from 200 to 20 mgm. The colors were found in small amounts in the bile of dogs after the administration of moderate doses per os. The quantity of these colors absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration was calculated to be on the order of 10 mgm. for a 200 mgm. dose.}, issn = {0022-3565}, URL = {https://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/114/1/38}, eprint = {https://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/114/1/38.full.pdf}, journal = {Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics} }
