At a dose of 3 mgm./kgm. the l-methadone increased the blood glucose 43.7 mgm. per cent whereas d-methadone produced an increase of only 12.6 mgm. per cent. 2. Sedative doses of pentobarbital partially inhibited the hyperglycemic response to l-methadone and morphine. Anesthetic doses of pentobarbital completely inhibited l-methadone hyperglycemia. ER -
