Abstract
1. The duration of action of sodium evipan on mice (3 x h.d.50 given intraperitoneally) is dependent on the room temperature (Dur. 20°C./Dur.30°C. = 2.4).
2. The l.d.50 of phenobarbitone at 20°C. is about ⅔ that at 30°C.
3. Comparisons between the biological properties of barbiturate compounds should be carried out at a uniform room temperature and 30°C. seems preferable to 20°C.
