Abstract
A method for obtaining a melanophore-dilating preparation from the posterior lobe of the pituitary, practically free from pressor and oxytocic actions, and which is about 25 times as active as standard pituitary powder, is described.
The potentiating action of alkali upon this preparation is described and discussed.
