Abstract
Quantitative measurements of the dilatation of pial blood vessels in trephined anesthetized dogs have been made by photographic means following the injection of glyceryl trinitrate. The probable error by our technique was±8 per cent. An increase in the caliber of the pial vessels from 14 to 40 per cent following the administration of glyceryl trinitrate was noted,—the average increase being 21 per cent.
