In the sentence that precedes the first full paragraph on page 834 of the article above [Ceruti S, Mazzola A, and Abbracchio MP (2005) J Pharmacol Exp Ther314:825–837], the abbreviation BetA (betulinic acid) was misinterpreted in proofs as the Greek letter β. The sentence should read “The present results represent the first in-depth evaluation of BetA-induced effects....”
