Abstract
Renal tubular transport of epinephrine (EPI) , norepinephrine (NOR) , dopamine (DOP) , and metanephrine (MET) occurred in the hen. EPI was transported by the organic acid transport pathway; however, NOR and DOP occupied both the acid and base transport pathways. MAO inhibitors and other autonomic drugs inhibited this transport. Accumulation of EPI and NOR occurred in renal slices and this uptake was inhibited by autonomic drugs.
