Abstract
In unanesthetized hens epinephrine is actively transported across the renal tubule from peritubular blood to urine. The rate of renal tubular excretion is about 75% as great as that for PAH. This active transport of epinephrine is inhibited by probenecid but is not inhibited competitively by some other organic acids. In most experiments the major part of the radioactivity is excreted in the form of free catechols.
