Abstract
Metaraminol in oral doses of 1 mgm. per kgm. increased tolerance to positive acceleration an average of 0.7 g-unit in 8 volunteers tested on the human centrifuge. This protection was far below that provided by the G-suit or by gradual induction of acceleration. Combination of metaraminol with either of these two systems provided no additional advantage.
