JPET Fast Forward contains papers in manuscript form that have been accepted and published in JPET Online but have not been copy edited and have not yet appeared in a printed issue of the journal. Copy editing may lead to some differences between the Fast Forward version and the final version. There may also be differences in the quality of the graphics. The publication date appears below each title followed by the article's unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

Fast Forward papers are freely accessible. They remain freely accessible after the fully formatted and copyedited version is published.

Fast Forward papers may be viewed in order of the date published or by subject area.

When papers appear in an issue, they are removed from this feature and grouped with the other papers in that issue. The Fast Forward version of the paper is always accessible from the final version.

Fast Forward articles are published online as soon as possible after acceptance and approximately 8-12 weeks prior to appearing in a print issue. The first release was on November 25, 2002.
