SNIRKO development was assessed with a modified SHIRPA analysis (Hatcher et al., 2001) and no statistical differences were observed compared to IRlox/lox mice (data not included). Blood glucose levels were monitored for 6 months and no significant differences were observed between SNIRKO and IRlox/lox mice (Fig. 2C).
