2020, The Senses: A Comprehensive Reference: Volume 1-7, Second EditionLong-lasting changes in hippocampal GABA<inf>B</inf>-receptor mediated inhibition following early-life seizures in kindling-prone but not kindling-resistant rats
2019, Brain Research BulletinCitation Excerpt :Threshold stimulus intensity was defined as the minimal stimulus intensity that elicited a visually detected response; typically, the stimulus intensity was fixed at 30 μA, and the stimulus pulse duration was varied from 0.05 to 0.25 ms duration. Heterosynaptic conditioning burst-induced suppression (HBS), following Isaacson et al. (1993), was used to release endogenous GABA to activate presynaptic GABAB heteroreceptors (Mott and Lewis, 1994; Poon et al., 2006). No GABAA or NMDA receptor blockers were added in the present study, and pEPSPs in stratum radiatum were recorded extracellularly.
