TRH also regulates cognitive functions (Bennett et al., 1997; Horita, 1998; Olson et al., 1995). TRH analogs are beneficial in animal models of amnesia and prevent the memory impairment caused by chronic ethanol administration and brain lesions (Ballard et al., 1996; Faden et al., 1999; Ogasawara et al., 1996; Sabbatini et al., 1998).
