OPs could cause acetyl cholinesterase (AChE) inactivation (Moser, 1995). Other studies have revealed that OPs might affect mitochondrial membrane permeability transition and have effects on cytochrome P450 enzymes (Nakagawa and Moore, 1999; Sams et al., 2004).
