2009, Metabolism: Clinical and ExperimentalCitation Excerpt :Plasma catecholamines A, NA, and DA levels were measured by a sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography with a reversed-phase ion-pair chromatography and electrochemical detection with an ESA Coulochem (Model 1050A; Hewlett-Packard, Cleveland, OH). The CV for A, NA, and DA was 2.4%, 2.6%, and 2.3%; and their lower detection limit was 5 pmol/L, 0.06 nmol/L, and 8 pmol/L, respectively [20]. All samples (blood spots) were collected on a Schleicher and Schuell (Dassel, Germany) grade 903 filter paper (Guthrie cards) and analyzed by a previously described electrospray mass spectrum/mass spectrum method [21,22] with slight modifications.
An in vivo and in vitro study of erythrocyte membrane acetylcholinesterase, (Na+, K+)-ATPase and Mg2+-ATPase activities in basketball players on α-tocopherol supplementation. The role of l-carnitine
2007, Clinical NutritionCitation Excerpt :Plasma catecholamine, adrenaline (A), nor-adrenaline (NA) and dopamine (DA) levels were measured by a sensitive HPLC with a reversed-phase ion-pair chromatography and electrochemical detection with an ESA Coulochem (Model 1100 A). The CV for A, NA and DA was 2.4%, 2.6% and 2.3%, respectively.38 Hundred micrograms protein of erythrocyte membranes from each member of group D were incubated with 50 mM Tris–HCI, pH 7.4, 120 mM NaCI in the presence or absence of l–C (25 μM) for 1 h at 37 °C.
