A differentiated Ca2+ signalling phenotype has minimal impact on myocardin expression in an automated differentiation assay using A7r5 cells
2021, Cell CalciumCitation Excerpt :Freshly isolated VSMCs are spindle-form and take on a flattened, rhomboid shape in their proliferative phenotype when cultured. With appropriate stimulation, several cell lines (e.g. A7r5, A10) of VSMCs can return to a spindle-like morphology [1,11]. This change in shape is easily observed, but it is challenging to quantify, making it a poor candidate for the automated analyses.
