A comparative study of the structure and vibrational spectra of diphenylmethane, the carcinogen 4,4′-methylenedianiline and 4,4′-methylenebis(N,N-dimethylaniline)
2013, Spectrochimica Acta - Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular SpectroscopyCitation Excerpt :The vibrational assignments of MDA and MBDMA are shown in Tables 2 and 3. The interesting structure [12] and biochemical properties [13–16] of the carcinogen 4,4′-methylenedianiline (MDA) prompt the study of its conformational behavior and vibrational spectra in the present study. The work was extended to its parent diphenylmethane (DPM) and the N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyl derivative (MBDMA) for a comparison.
