Therefore, we tested here potential additional effects of PDE3 inhibition by milrinone, a drug that specifically targets this isoenzyme (Howell et al., 1995; Horn et al., 2006). Forskolin, clenbuterol and isoproterenol were used at fixed concentrations, triggering small cAMP increases on their own.
