Polymorphic forms of QR2 have also been associated with Parkinson's disease [19]. Janda et al. showed that paraquat (1,1′-dimethyl-4,4′-bipyridinium) intoxication, which leads to Parkinson disease-like symptoms in mice and is the simplest AD model, is due principally to the action of QR2 [20].
