All the components of these receptors, CLR and RAMPs1 to 3, are expressed in the cultured cardiomyocytes obtained from neonatal rats [209]. Specific receptor sites for AM were detected in the same tissues and organs where this peptide is present including lungs, spleen, liver, muscles, spinal cord, and heart [210–212].

2019, PeptidesCitation Excerpt :All the components of receptors, CLR, and RAMPs1 to 3 are expressed in the cultured cardiomyocytes obtained from neonatal rats [23,85]. Either angiotensin II or endothelin-1 stimulated the expression of RAMP3 in the cultured cardiomyocytes of neonatal rats; however, angiotensin II did not alter RAMP2, while endothelin-1 decreased it in these cells [23,85]. IL-1β increased the expressions of CLR, RAMP2, and RAMP3 in the cultured neonatal rat cardiac fibroblasts [86].
