TABLE 1

Effect of cannabinoid receptor antagonists on the CBN- and HU-210-induced rise in [Ca2+]i in HPB-ALL cells Effect of cannabinoid receptor antagonists on the CBN- and HU-210-induced rise in [Ca2+]i in HPB-ALL cells. A 3-ml aliquot of fura-2-AM-loaded HPB-ALL cells (5 × 105 cells/ml) was treated with SR1 (1-5 μM), SR2 (1-5 μM), and/or VH (0.1% DMSO) before calcium measurements were begun. At 300 s, CBN (20 μM; left) or HU-210 (20 μM; right) or VH (0.1% ethanol for CBN; 0.1% DMSO for HU-210) was injected into the cuvette and the increase in [Ca2+]i was measured for 1600 s. [Ca2+]i changes are presented as changes in the mean change in base to peak ratio ± S.E.M. of bound to free calcium (340/380 nm). The calcium data represent a mean of at least three independent experiments.
