Mast cell production of prostaglandin and LTB4
Mast cells were incubated with anti-DNP IgE for 16 h followed by 15-min incubation with 10 μM thioperamide, 30- or 210-min incubation with 10 μM histamine, or 5 μg/ml compound 48/80. Maximal was measured by lysing the cells with 1% Triton X-100. Prostaglandin and LTB4 levels in the supernatants were measured.
