In separate series of experiments, rat striatal slices were preloaded with [3H]DA and rat hippocampal slices were preloaded with [3H]NE. Superfusion buffer contained pargyline (10 μM) and nomifensine (10 μM) or desipramine (10 μM). Slices were superfused with various concentrations of bupropion, which was added to the buffer. Each slice was exposed to only one concentration of bupropion. Data represent [3H]overflow during the 30-min period of superfusion in the absence and presence of bupropion.
