These airway responses were elicited by the inhalation of antigen in sensitized guinea pigs. The data of the saline group and the OA group were defined as 100 and 0% inhibitory effects, respectively. Each ED50 value was calculated as the dose causing 50% inhibition of each response by linear regression (maximum-likelihood method) using SAS. Each group comprised five to eight animals. The values in parentheses represent 95% confidence limits.
