Cells were seeded in six-well plates and treated for 48 h with daunomycin at increasing concentrations (0.1, 0.5, and 1 μM). After 12 days of incubation in fresh medium, colonies (>50 cells) were stained and counted. The figures indicate the number of clones (±S.D.) with the exception of confluent colonies, as indicated.
