Restriction enzymes that detected differences associated with LS and SS nicotinic receptor subunit genes

The LS and SS mice were screened for nicotinic receptor subunit polymorphisms using 24 restriction enzymes. DNA from the RI strains were cut with restriction enzymes that identified polymorphisms in the LS and SS mice and scored for their respective genotypes. The LS and SS mice showed RFLPs for six nicotinic receptor subunit genes, but only two of these (α4 and α6) persisted in the RI strains.
