Duplicate aliquots of rat cortical vesicles were preincubated for 5 min at 30°C in the absence or presence of increasing concentrations of competitors; thereafter, 50 μM unlabeled + [3H]glutamate and ATP was added, and the incubation was continued for 10 min. Data are presented as mean ± S.E. fromn individual experiments. Affinity (Ki) values were calculated with the Biosoft RADLIG v.4 program.
