The enzyme activities were measured as described in the text. Data are mean ± S.E.M., n = 5, and are analyzed by one-way ANOVA. The addition of l-glutamate,l-glutamine, NH4Cl or l-aspartate had no effect (P > .05) on NO synthase activity.
