  • The apparent first-pass extraction of each substrate was determined for 15 sec after carotid artery injection, with or without 10% DMSO in the injectate. Each value represents the mean ± S.E. of five experiments. No significant difference was observed for the percentage dose per g brain in the presence and absence of DMSO in any of the experiments.
