Dose-response relationships for DAMGO or baclofen were generated in ARC neurons in hypothalamic slices prepared from placebo-treated animals. The V_m was returned to its original resting statevia the injection of positive current, and maximal concentrations of DAMGO (200–500 nM) and baclofen (30–40 μM) were coadministered. Values represent the mean ± S.E.M. of the ΔV_max elicited by maximal concentrations of either DAMGO (n = 11) or baclofen (n = 3) alone or in combination (DAMGO + baclofen; n = 14).
