↵a PA21 5% was associated with a significantly lower rate of high vascular calcification compared with CaCO3 3%–treated CRF rats and CRF controls (P = 0.045 and 0.002, respectively).
↵b A reduction in high vascular calcifications was also observed with PA21 1.5% (P = 0.002 versus CRF controls; P < 0.05 versus PA21 0.5%).
