Circulating levels of fluoxetine and norfluoxetine

Display of the circulating levels of fluoxetine and its metabolite norfluoxetine (mean ± S.E.M.) in the brain and plasma of male and female mice. Significant sex difference indicated by ^a within column. Significant effect of dose indicated by ^b within row. Fluoxetine and norfluoxetine levels in the brain and plasma were measured after injections (5 and 10 mg/kg b.i.d.) with fluoxetine for 6 days to achieve a steady state. Mice were sacrificed 2 h after the morning injection on day 6.
