Degree of centrilobular hepatic necrosis in mice treated with saline or APAP The livers were examined histologically and classed according to the degree of centrilobular hepatocyte necrosis: none, mild, moderate, or severe. Mice found dead after 24 h of APAP treatment were noted. The numbers indicate how many mice were classed with which degree of hepatocyte necrosis per total number of mice examined in each group (total numbers of mice in each group n = 5 to 10).
