Rapid effects of raloxifene on the relaxation of precontracted aortic rings from estrogen-replaced ovariectomized rats under inflammatory challenge

E₂-replaced ovariectomized rats were treated with 0.1 or 1 mg/kg LPS for 4 h before sacrifice. Tension recording experiments in response to raloxifene were performed as described under Materials and Methods. Results indicate the percent relaxation of NA-precontracted tone and are expressed as mean of ± S.E.M. (n = 3 for each group).
