In contrast to ephedrine and 6-methylamino-2-methyl-2-heptene, this compound produced a distinctly lesser degree of cardiac depression when given in large or repeated doses. Similar relations of cardiac depression for these three amines were demonstrated in the isolated rabbit heart, although the distinctions were not so pronounced.
